⚽ THE COMPETITIONS
THE LEAGUES
Countries have 1 or more leagues with each league having roughly between 8 and 22 clubs each. Due to the different league sizes, some leagues do not have games in every Soccerverse match round.
In leagues with an odd number of clubs, one team will sit out each round.
CLUB PROMOTION/RELEGATION
The top and bottom clubs in a league are promoted/relegated at the end of a season, depending upon the number of clubs in the league. Please refer to the colours in the league tables to see how many clubs get promoted/relegated in a specific league.

A country's bottom league has no relegation and the top league has no promotion. If a country has only 1 league, there is no promotion or relegation.
NATIONAL CUPS
All teams from a country participate in the national cup. Cups are played in a single leg knockout format with the better teams receiving byes in the earlier rounds.
CHAMPIONS CUP
Champions Cup for the best placed teams in their domestic leagues have several groups with 5 or 6 clubs per group depending on how many clubs participate in this competition. The two best teams of each group will advance to the knockout stages. The number of knockout stages depends on the number of clubs participating in the competitions, which is different for the various continents/associations.
There are 4 Champions Cups:
- America Cup
- Africa Cup
- Asia Cup
- Euro Cup
A different number of clubs qualify for the Champions Cup from each each country's first division depending on their final position in the table. The bigger countries like England, France, Spain, Italy and Germany have 3 fixed spots, others only 2 or 1 and the smaller countries have to go through a qualifying tournament to secure their spot in the main tournament.
Please note that some countries do not play in the Football Associations continental championship like you are used to in real life - this is due to organisational reasons.
Gibraltar plays in the Africa Cup.
Russia, Moldova, Kazakhstan, Israel, Georgia, Belarus, Armenia and Azerbaijan play in the Asia Cup.

CUP WINNERS CUP
The Cup Winners Cup is a continental knockout tournament for the domestic cup winners from the previous season.
If the winner of the domestic cup also qualified for the Champions Cup group stage via the league table position, the runner-up from the domestic cup will get the spot in the Cup Winners Cup.
In case of both domestic cup finalists having qualified for the Champions Cup group stage via the league table position, the respective country will have no participant in the Cup Winners Cup for the next season. \
If the winner of the domestic cup qualified (only) for the qualifying stages of the Champions Cup and gets eliminated there, this club will then continue to play in the Cup Winners Cup.
If the club manages to qualify for the Champions Cup group stage via the Champions Cup qualifying stages, the domestic cup runner-up will get the spot in the Cup Winners Cup.
THE WORLD CLUB CUP
The World Club Cup follows its own schedule, different from leagues, cups and the continental championships, but is played every season. The winners of the 4 continental championships will participate in this competition and crown the champion of the champions in a two round knockout stage featuring the semi-finals followed by the grand final.
The World Club Cup takes place during the season. All other leagues and cups have a break during this event.
