Being locked means that you can do the normal managerial tasks, but you won’t be able to buy and sell players - only unlocked managers can do that. This may seem somewhat inconvenient, but was implemented to prevent users from destroying clubs for free, i.e. going from club to club and selling the best players for example. Contract renewals for the club's players are also not possible for locked managers. Locked managers don’t receive any manager wages.
You can check the status of a manager (locked/unlocked) by looking at the managers name in the club overview. Locked managers have a small lock icon next to their username.
To unlock a manager, go to the VOTES menu in your club and click the UNLOCK tab. To the far right of the managers name click the UNLOCK button.
To unlock managers, you will need at least 500 influence in a club. The unlock vote will last for 3 days and any influencer is eligible to participate and vote for or against the unlocking of a manager.
Once the unlock vote has finished and the majority of influencers voted for you to get unlocked, you will automatically be unlocked - you don't need to accept getting unlocked.
